It has been criticised for being boring at the start though I couldn’t disagree more. The atmosphere is what this game is all about and it absolutely nails it in this regard. I’ve had different results from reloading with the exact same stats, though auto saves will often happen after you roll to prevent reload spamming. Your stats will determine what your results are and from what I can gather, the computer will roll against your stats much like a tabletop RPG. The game is not an action horror or survival horror, but a detective horror RPG. The negative reviews turned me off but I’m glad I listened to my gut and bought it anyway.
